BRC Public Involvement in Research Competition 2025 is now open

PPIE QA session

The ݮƵ Imperial BRC management team proudly recognises the exceptional public involvement in research across Imperial. As a mark of our continued support and encouragement, we are delighted to announce that the call for entries to the BRC Public Involvement in Research Competition 2025 is now officially open

Follow this link to 12 October 2024 for your chance to win a BRC-branded trophy and a £500 gift voucher of your choice.

The competition seeks to celebrate innovative and impactful PPIE (Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement) activities or initiatives. Submissions may highlight a specific project-based activity or showcase broader efforts that have significantly enhanced patient participation across a specialty or even the wider Trust. Examples of eligible entries include, but are not limited to, videos, websites, surveys, focus groups with reports, and other creative formats of public involvement that demonstrate meaningful engagement.

“Public” refers to patients, potential patients, carers and people who use health and social care services as well as people from organisations that represent people who use services. The ݮƵ definitions of public involvement, engagement and participation in NHS, health and social care research can be found .

Submitted projects will be reviewed by a judging panel comprising academics and BRC community partners. To ensure impartiality, applicants’ names and any identifying details will remain anonymous throughout the evaluation process.

The winner will be announced in early December and invited to co-present their project, alongside one of their public contributors, at the ݮƵ Imperial BRC Annual Meeting, where they will also receive their award.

We extend our best wishes to all applicants and look forward to celebrating your inspiring contributions.
